Nexus 4 coming to India after a long seven month wait, gets listed on multiple online retailers.

If you’ve been waiting a long, long time for the Nexus 4 smartphone to come to India, we’ve got some good news for you. The Nexus 4 is now available for pre-order in India from multiple online retailers including Flipkart for Rs. 25,990.

Unlike the Nexus 7 tablet, the Nexus 4 will not be sold through Google’s Play Store but instead directly through retailers. While it’s great news that the phone is finally here, it sure has taken a long time getting here. The Nexus 4 was originally launched in October of last year and has since then been sold in many countries except for India. Many people who were interested in the Google smartphone (including some from the Digit team) have already procured the phone from other shores but those who waited can now finally get their hands on it.

For the uninitiated, the Nexus 4 is an Android smartphone marketed and sold by Google (but manufactured by LG) with a 4.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×768 pixels (318 ppi). It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5GHz and 2GB of RAM. Imaging is taken care of by an 8MP camera with an LED flash that can also shoot full-HD videos. The Nexus 4 launched with Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and the 4.2.2 update for the phone has already been made available.

So, will you pick up the Nexus 4 now that it’s here or do you think Google launched it too late in India? Tell us in the comments section below or on Facebook.
