We have been waiting for quite some time to see Sony Ericsson jump onto the Google Android bandwagon. And with the upcoming Xperia X3, our wishes are set to be fulfilled.
But just like HTC polished up the shortcomings of Android by making their Sense UI overlay interface, Sony is set to do the same with its Rachael UI. We have previously caught a glimpse of the Rachael UI and been quite impressed. Now, a new leaked video of this interface shows off its amazing media playback capabilities, which Gizmodo is likening to the ZuneHD interface.
“Looks like Sony Ericsson borrowed heavily from the Zune HD playbook for this one, but we’re not complaining—the Zune HD has the only media UI that’s capable of competing with the iPhone’s,” the gadget blog writes.
Here’s the video:
As you can see, the new interface boosts the usability of the media player manifold, confirming that the Xperia X3 would be focusing on its multimedia features. Three scrolls – ‘Recently Used’, ‘Recently Added’ and ‘Favourites’ – promise to make navigating your library a great experience.
Whether this will be the final version we get to see when the phone releases is not yet known. But we won’t have to wait long, as Sony has
hinted that it will launch the Xperia X3 tomorrow!
