Apple has released new updates for its iOS devices and Mac OS Mavericks addressing some security and stability issues.

Apple has released an over the air update for its iPhone, iPad and iPod users. The new iOS 7.1.2 update brings iBeacon, mail attachment encryption fixes, and some other security updates. Here are some of the changes in the iOS 7.1.2 update:

Incomplete checks during activation of the device is fixed.

Failed pass-code attempt limit is fixed.

Lock screen management which earlier could let malicious individuals access the last application used prior to locking has been fixed.

Data protection was enabled for mail by changing the encryption.

iBeacon stability and connectivity issues have been fixed.

There are some minor tweaks to the OS and a few security issues have also been resolved.

Apple has also released 10.9.4 update for the OSX Mavericks. Apple says the new update “improves the Stability, compatibility and security of your Mac”.

Here are some of the major issues which have been addressed by Apple in this update:

The WI-Fi issue that prevented Macs from automatically connecting to a Wi-Fi has been fixed.

The incorrect background logo at start-up has been fixed.

Reliability of waking your Mac from sleep has been improved.

Safari 7.0.5 has been included in the update.

Some security and stability issues and improvements have also been updated in this latest update for Mavericks.
