New Sony Xperia i1 Honami images surface ahead of official release
HIGHLIGHTS

The Sony 'Honami' leaks continue. This time the leaks focus on the camera capabilities of the smartphone. An alleged photo sample taken by the smartphone has also leaked.

The Sony Xperia i1 Honami has once again made an appearance ahead of its official release. The latest set of leaked images focus on the smartphone’s camera feature. One image reveals the camera lens and LED flash with G-lens label and X placeholders for the camera specifications, including resolution and focal length.

The second image confirms the 20MP CMOS sensor, while the third one shows the magnetic docking pins. The fourth image is said to be a photo sample taken by the Xperia Honami.

The new leaked images of the handset are in line with the previous leaks, which claimed the smartphone has 20MP sensor and can record 4K videos in 4000 x 2000 resolution with aspect ratio of 2:1. Other camera features include ISO up to 12800 as well as a Steadyshot mode.

Sony will also introduce a new Info-Eye application, which will serve as a visual search application based on kooaba. This app seems to be highly similar to Nokia’s HERE City lens.

The Honami, also said to be smaller version of the Xperia Z Ultra, is rumoured to feature a 5-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 800 with the Adreno 330 GPU, Android Jelly Bean (probably 4.2.2) and water resistance. The smartphone is expected to be officially announced at the IFA in Berlin next month.
