If Xperia X10 was too big for your liking, and Xperia X10 Mini too 'mini' to be comfortable, the phone pictured above might just be what you were looking for.
A similar picture was also leaked, and posted on Thinkdigit earlier, under the company codename 'Shakira'. The earlier picture was crude shot, probably captured using a mobile. But these pictures, posted by German site mobiFlip.de, look like official PR shots. The site also reports that the phone will be called 'Xperia X8'. If they are Photoshopped, it has been done pretty neatly, as the pictures even have the characteristic SE shadows at the bottom, like all official shots from the company.
The phone, sporting what looks like a 3-inch screen, is sized between the large X10 and the cute X10 Mini. It seems to be using the same Xperia interface, with Timescape visible in the picture. Many people want a moderately sized Xperia, suggesting that these pictures might just be the figment of an SE fanboy's imagination. But the pictures look too genuine for that. Let's hope an official announcement from Sony Ericsson puts all doubts to bed soon.
