New Moto X with 4.6-inch display spotted on GFXBench
A new compact smartphone by Motorola coming soon?
An unannounced Motorola smartphone with the model name XT1662 was spotted on GFXBench and it is speculated to be a new Moto X smartphone. As per the listing, the phone features a compact 4.6-inch Full HD display and is powered by a 2.1GHz MediaTek Helio P10 SoC with 3GB of RAM. Further, the phone offers 32GB of storage and runs Android Marshmallow v6.0. The device may also be equipped with 16MP and 8MP cameras.
It was earlier speculated that the Moto X line would be discontinued in favour of the new Moto Z series. However, in a statement to Android Police, the company said that the Moto X series was “alive and well.” The company added that the two lineups offer different experiences to users and those looking for a “brand new set of experiences” will look towards the Moto Z.
However, Motorola may not be the only company that might launch a compact smartphone with a Full HD screen. Last month, two Sony smartphone with 4.6-inch displays were spotted on GFXBench. The device with the model name F3216 was also powered by a Helio P10 processor, but offered 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. However, it was listed has having a 21MP rear and a 16MP front camera.
