An AnTuTu Benchmark screenshot of a Meizu phone named ‘NIUX’ has been leaked on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo. As per the leak, the new phone will come with high end specifications, featuring Samsung’s Exynos 7420 SoC. The phone managed to get a score of 69,000 on AnTuTu, and a 3D graphics score of 21158.
According to the screenshot, the phone will also come with a 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of ROM and runs Android 5.1. The phone also has a 21MP camera at the back while the front camera resolution is 5MP.
However, the most interesting bit of information is that these are supposedly the specifications of the low end version of the NIUX device. Nothing much is known about the high end specifications of the device, but rumors range from from 4GB of RAM, larger storage, better display, and possibly, MediaTek Helio X20 SoC. It is also possible the the NIUX could be the Meizu ME5, a flagship device that is rumored for launch later this year.
The Helio X20 could be one of the best upcoming chipsets. According to reports, the X20 will be a deca-core chipset with two 2.5GHz Cortex A72 cores, four 2GHz Cortex A53 cores, and four 1.4Ghz Cortex A53 cores. According to leaked images, the SoC scored over 70,000 on AnTuTu.
Meizu officially launched its brand in India at the tail end of August, and as expected, launched its MX5 phone at the event. However, Meizu entered the Indian market back in May with its M1 Note and in August, released the M2 Note.
