New leaks reveal Moto G (2015) may be water-resitant and more
HIGHLIGHTS

Latest images leaks and import data reveal that Moto G (2015) might be IPX7 certified and could come with a 2GB RAM.

Motorola is gearing up for the July 28th event here in India as well as across the globe. It is expected that the company will be launching the Moto G (2015) in India and the new Moto X (2015) in the US. According to the latest leaked images the new Moto G (2015) will feature IPX7 certification. The IPX7 certification means that the device can withstand immersion in 1 meter of water for upto 30 minutes. The X in the certification represents that it is not certified for dust resistance. The company had earlier teased this in the invite, something about “a friend which will dance with you in the rain” suggesting a waterproof phone beforehand. If rumours are to be accounted in we might also see Moto X in a rugged avatar.

In a similar news, an import data of a shipment from China of Moto G with model number XT1550 was seen on Zauba revealing that the phone has 8GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM. So, according to the latest rumors the Moto G (2015) will be powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, would it be a Snapdragon 410 or a 610 is the bigger question. It will feature 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage like mentioned earlier. We might also see a 16GB variant due to the growing demand and changing market norms.

According to the various leaks and rumors Moto G (2015) will get a major update in the camera department with the rear camera boasting a 13MP sensor and the front facing camera featuring a 5MP snapper. The phone might also come with a fairly large 2470mAh battery and microSD card support. And with a newer SoC, 4G compatibility is almost certain as well.

As for the Moto X (2015), we are not expecting it to get launched in India alongwith the Moto G (2015). However, India is one of the biggest markets for the company and will get both phone eventually. We have also heard rumors that Motorola could bring the Moto Maker to India which will allow Indian customers to customise their handsets before they buy it. The service has been a great success for the company in the US.
