MWC 2014: Lenovo unveils S860, S850 and S660 smartphones
Lenovo has introduced three new mid-range smartphones, all powered by MediaTek processors.
Lenovo has announced three new smartphones at MWC 2014 in Barcelona. Building on popular lineup of S-series, the new Lenovo smartphones – S860, S850 and S660 feature quad-core processor, Android 4.2 and Lenovo’s DOit apps.
First up is the Lenovo S860. The smartphone has a 5.3-inch 1280 x 720 IP display, runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a quad-core 1.3 GHz MediaTek along with 2GB of RAM. The Lenovo S860 features 8-megapixel camera in the back, a 1.6-megapixel camera up front, 16GB of built-in storage, WiFi, dual-SIM support, and dual speakers. The smartphone comes with a 4,000 mAh battery, which Lenovo says can deliver up to 40 days in standby and 43 hours of talk time.
The Lenovo S860 is priced at $349.
The Lenovo S850 has a 5-inch IPS 1280 x 720 display. It runs Android 4.2 and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and 1GB of RAM. The smartphone has a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera. It has 16GB of built-in storage. The smartphone supports dual-SIM, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0.
The Lenovo S850 is priced at $269.
The Lenovo S660 has a 4.7-inch display with 960 x 540 resolution. It supports dual-SIM. The smartphone is powered by a a MediaTek 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It has an 8-megapixel rear camera as well as a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
For connectivity, the smartphone supports 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, HSPA 21Mbps/5.76Mbps (upload)/UMTS/GSM. It is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. The Lenovo S660 will be available this year, priced at $229.
