MTS continues to focus on the data segment with its new dual-SIM smartphone.
Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that provides telecom services under the brand MTS has announced a new smartphone – Blaze 5.0. The new MTS smartphone supports dual SIM (EVDO + GSM) and comes bundled with an MTS SIM card that provides customers with 100,000 MB data usage with a validity of up to one year on the first recharge of Rs.198. Customers need to pay Rs. 10,999 to get the smartphone bundled with MTS SIM card.
The MTS Blaze 5.0 runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor along with 1GB of RAM. It has a 5-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. It sports an 8MP rear camera with auto focus and 0.3MP front-facing camera. It comes with 4GB internal storage, expandable up to 32GB.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and USB 2.0. The Blaze 5.0 is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 9.5 hours of talktime. Other features include Gravity Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Light sensor.
The smartphone comes preloaded with several exclusive apps – MTS Playground (a music app that lets the customers download and listen to their favorite songs), MTS TV (lets you stream over 100 TV channels) and MTS Wizard (enables customers to activate their smartass phone, pay phone bills online, customize it and lots more).
