Motorola has had a good year so far with its recent launches. It seems like the company is not letting the momentum die and they are currently working on their next set of launches. I am particularly talking about its foldable smartphones. The upcoming Motorola Razr and the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra have surfaced online, including the press renders. Read along to find out all that we know about these upcoming foldables.

Tipster Evan Blass took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the press renders of the upcoming devices. From the images, we can see substantial changes to the device when we compare it with the previous Razr 40.

Design upgrades of the Motorola Razr 50 series

According to the leaked images, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra has a considerably larger cover display. Previously we saw a 1.5-inch outer display on the Razr 40. And this time it is expected to be a 3.3-inch curved pOLED outer display, according to Deal N Tech.

Motorola Razr 50 rumoured specifications

Deal N Tech also shared the specifications of the upcoming foldables from Motorola. The Motorola Razr 50 could measure 171x74x7.2mm and weigh around 188 grams. It might feature a 6.9-inch pOLED inner screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Razr 50 is said to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chip, and can offer 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone will most likely run on Android 14. We might get to see a dual camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel secondary camera. Lastly, a 4,200mAh battery could power this smartphone.

Coming to the Ultra model, it could also feature a 6.9-inch pOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate support. Moreover, this smartphone will reportedly run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. For photography, it might use a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel Telephoto sensor. On the front, you could get a 32-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls. Lastly, the Razr 50 Ultra is expected to have a 4000mAh battery.

When could these smartphones launch?

It is expected that Motorola will launch this series in June 2023, and it will make its way to India a month later in July.
