Motorola moves to all Gorilla Glass lineup in 2024 to boost value proposition
All Motorola smartphones releasing in the second half of 2024 will feature Gorilla Glass.
Gorilla glasses are considered the optimal glass protection over displays on modern smartphones.
Even Lenovo announced that it will pack selected laptops and tablets with gorilla glass too.
During the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2024, brands are discussing their plans and sharing new tech. News coming straight from Barcelona reveals future plans of Lenovo’s subsidiary Motorola for its smartphones. The company announced that going forward, all of its Moto smartphones that will be released in the second half of 2024 will feature Gorilla Glass. Read along as I share more details.
In today’s day and age, one does look for strength while buying smartphones. Gorilla glasses are considered the optimal glass protection over displays on modern smartphones. The brand has hence partnered with Corning to get gorilla glasses for all of its smartphones that will be released in the second half of the year.

Speaking about the same, Motorola’s Head of Customer Experience, Ruben Castano, said that with this the company plans to “access the durability and peace of mind that comes with this cutting-edge technology.” He further added that Gorilla Glass is known to offer “damage resistance to drops and scratches, while still allowing for sensitive touch response.”
Well, we don’t know which Moto smartphone will pack which variant of the Gorilla glass yet but 9to5Google spotted Motorola showcasing the Gorilla Glass 5 and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 at its MWC booth. Not just that, even Lenovo announced that it will pack selected laptops and tablets with gorilla glass too.

Apart from this, during the MWC 2024, Motorola also presented the Smart Connect software for interconnectivity between Motorola smartphones, tablets, and Lenovo’s laptops and PCs with Windows 10 or later. It has many features that other companies are incorporating as well, which include screen mirroring, remote control of content, continuous media playback, file sharing, notification sync, clipboard sync, using the phone camera as a webcam on the laptop, etc.
