Just in case the news of Lenovo buying Motorola from Google had you worried that the Moto G smartphone may not end up being launched in India, you can now put your worries to rest. Online retailer Flipkart has created a special page on its website that states that the Moto G is indeed ‘coming soon’. Flipkart offers no other information on the phone, either with respect to its pricing or its availability. However, Flipkart is expected to launch the Moto G next week and the phone should be priced for anything between Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 15,000.
We’ve got our hands on a Moto G courtesy the guys over at Shop Your World and did a quick overview of its design and build quality. Needless to say, we were quite impressed. You can check out our story here. Expect a comprehensive review very, very soon.
For the uninitiated, the Moto G is an Android KitKat smartphone with a 4.5-inch 720p IPS display. It’s powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and a 2070mAh battery. The Moto G has a 5MP camera and exists in two variants: 8GB and 16GB.
For the time being, you can keep coming back to our site for the review, and also sign up on Flipkart with your email address to get information on when the phone becomes available.
