Motorola has unveiled a teaser for an upcoming smartphone that has confirmed all rumours of the existence of the Moto G, a mid-range Android smartphone and Motorola’s first in a while. According to the teaser website, the smartphone will be launched at an event on November 13, while follow-up rumours suggest that the device will actually hit stores (in the U.K at least) on November 25.
The leaked specs of the Moto G suggest that the “mid-range” tag may be pushing it a little bit in India, and (if) the phone launches here, it looks like it could go for around Rs. 20,000. Anyways, the rumours point to the Moto G sporting a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, a quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, a 5MP camera that can record 720p video and 8GB of internal storage. The Moto G is also expected to run Android 4.3 JellyBean, although KitKat could make its way to the phone at launch.
You can watch the livestream of the phone launch on Motorola’s website on the designated day. Let’s hope that Motorola actually begins anew its operations in India soon.
