Motorola is gearing to launch its flagship smartphone, the Edge+ in just a few hours from now. However, it seems like all the key specifications of the phone along with its pricing have been leaked ahead of the official unveil tonight. Motorola Edge+ was slated to be announced during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 that was cancelled due to Coronavirus outbreak around the world.
DroidLife reports that a blog post containing key details of the upcoming Motorola flagship went live ahead of time but has since then been taken down. However, the report goes on to reveal the information that was leaked by the blog post.
Motorola Edge+ is rumoured to feature a 6.6-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen has a punch-hole cutout in the top-left corner that gives it a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
The phone could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset with octa-core CPU and Adreno 650 GPU. This is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with an option to expand the memory via microSD card. The phone runs Android 10 out-of-the-box with Moto customizations baked in.
The Edge+ is suspected to come with a triple camera setup that uses a 108MP sensor as its primary camera along with an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 16MP ultra-wide camera. The rear cameras are capable of taking 4K UHD videos at up to 30fps. On the front, housed within the notch cutout is a 25MP selfie camera.
The phone is fitted with a 5,170mAh battery with support for 18W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
Motorola Edge+ is expected to be priced at $1,000 which translates to around Rs 76,500.
