Moto Z Play leak suggests glass rear panel, Android Marshmallow
Except for the glass rear panel, the design of the Moto Z Play seems to match the Moto Z and Moto Z Force
Alleged images of the Moto Z Play have been posted on Reddit and Instagram. As per the images, the phone will come with a glass back as opposed to the metal rear used by the Moto Z and Moto Z Force. Except for the glass, the design of the Moto Z Play seems to match the previously-launched devices, including the protruding camera module and the magnetic connectors for Moto Mods. One of the leaked images also suggests that the phone will come preloaded with Android Marshmallow.
Last month, a mid-range Motorola device codenamed Vertex was spotted on Indian import listing portal, Zauba. The listing reveals that the phone will have a 5.5-inch display, and is generally expected to be the Moto Z Play. Previous reports have suggested that the Moto Z Play may sport a Full HD display and could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with 3GB of RAM. Other specifications include a 16MP primary camera and a 3500mAh battery.
Lenovo will most likely launch the Moto Z Play at IFA 2016, where it is also expected to announce new Moto Mods, tablets and more. A teaser video released by the company also suggests that it will showcase a smartphone with a bendable display. As for the new Moto Mods, Lenovo might finally release the camera Moto Mod that was first seen in a leak by Evan Blass.
