Reports about the Moto G7 series have been pouring in from all corners, and now press renders of the all the models belonging to this series have been leaked. The images show that the Lenovo-owned company will launch four phones under the series: Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7 Power, and Moto G7 Play. Two of these devices are seen having waterdrop notch and the other two are seen having iPhone-like notch.
According to DroidShout, all four Moto G7 series smartphones are expected to be announced in the first quarter of 2019. As suggested by previously leaked renders, the Moto G7 and Moto G7 Plus are expected to feature a waterdrop notch. Due to this design, the devices will offer a higher screen-to-body ratio as compared to their predecessors. The chin on all the smartphones are a bit on the thicker side with the Motorola branding on it.
The Moto G7 Power and the Moto G7 Power feature a regular notch. The Moto G7 Power is said to have a single snapper on the rear and a fingerprint sensor embedded inside the Motorola logo on the back. The Moto G7 Power is expected to have an impressive battery life, which could be the phone’s USP. Inside the notch the smartphone is expected to have a camera and an LED flash along with other sensors. The Moto G7 Play is also said to have a single rear camera with an LED flash and a fingerprint sensor embedded within the Motorola logo.
Recently, the Moto G7 Play, said to be the cheapest of the lot, was spotted listed on the EEC website. It also showed a smartphone with the model number XT1952-1 running Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. If this is true, the phone with model number XT1952-1 (or the whole G7 lineup) will be the first Motorola phone(s) to boot with Android 9 Pie. A few of the Motorola phones have already been spotted in the wild and the same model has also been listed on the FCC website.
According to an image leaked online, the Moto G7 is said to feature a Full HD+ 6.4-inch display offering a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is reported to house a 3,500mAh battery unit. We could see a Snapdragon 660 or a Snapdragon 710 chipset in these phones. All the phones are said to be offered in multiple variants, that is, with different RAM and storage capacities.
