Moto G5 Plus, the latest mid-budget Android smartphone from Moto, will launch in India later today. The smartphone was first announced at MWC last month and will be available exclusively on Flipkart.
At Mobile World Congress, Moto announced the Moto G5 and G5 Plus, but its teasers hint that only the larger G5 Plus will come to India. The Moto G5 Plus will serve as one of the strongest competitors to the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Honor 6X and Coolpad Cool 1. The crucial decider for these smartphones may be the pricing, and it will be interesting to see what Moto prices its devices at.
To recall, the Moto G5 Plus ditches the plasticky design seen on its predecessor and employs an all-metal unibody design. The rear of the device has a camera housing similar to that of the Moto Z, and the metal design is reminiscent of Moto M. The smartphone also sports a compact footprint with a 5.2-inch Full HD display. Powering the device is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with options for up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
The rear camera on the Moto G5 Plus uses a 12MP Sony sensor with f/1.7 aperture lens, and phase detection autofocus. The front camera is a modest 5MP sensor. Ahead of the launch, Flipkart has announced a buyback guarantee programme for the Moto G5 Plus, which offers an assured buyback price on the handset. The Moto G5 Plus runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Google Assistant support. It also offers Moto customisations like active display and gesture support.
Moto G5 Plus is also likely to offer NFC support and house a 3000mAh battery with TurboCharge support. The smartphone was announced at $229 for the 2GB RAM, 32GB storage option. Stay tuned for more details on the device.Buy Moto G5 plus from flipkart at Rs.16999.
