Leaked images of Moto G5 and G5 Plus claim to confirm metal build and a large rear camera bump.

New leaks on the Moto G5 and G5 Plus surfaced yesterday, adding to the long list of rumours and leaks surrounding the two upcoming Moto phones. The latest image leaks shows the Moto G5 photographed in hand from the front and rear profiles. We also get a clear view of the bottom-mounted fingerprint scanner. According to Majordroid, the phone is likely to have a metal back, albeit a removable battery. Besides, renowned leakster Evan Blass posted official image renders of the Moto G5 Plus, and the two leaks are concurrent as far as design is concerned.

Both the Moto G5 and G5 Plus are expected to launch next week at MWC 2017. Rumours suggest that the Moto G5 will house a 5.2-inch display with Full HD resolution, along with 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras. It may be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 SoC along with 2GB RAM and 16GB native storage. The battery size is likely to be 2800mAh.

As for the Moto G5 Plus, the design is likely to remain unchanged, but better hardware is expected. The phone is expected to feature a larger 5.5-inch display, along with the Snapdragon 625 SoC and 4GB RAM. The phone might also be available with 64GB native storage. Going by previous leaks, it may feature a 12MP rear camera with dual pixel autofocus.

There are also rumors that Moto may price the upcoming Moto G5 lower than its predecessor, in order to compete with the likes of Xiaomi. India is one of the biggest markets for Moto and we can expect the two phones in india in line with the global launch.
