The Asus Zenfone 5 has some competition in the sub 10K segment. The Moto G first gen has made a re-appearance on Flipkart listings with both the 8GB and 16GB variants on offer for Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 9,999 respectively. This makes a strong case for anyone looking for a better pure Android phone than the Moto E and Android One phones on offer for a little more money.
The updated Moto G (2nd Gen) is a good Rs. 3,000 more expensive than the first gen Moto G while essentially offering very similar hardware. The 2nd Gen Moto G offers a slightly better camera (8MP vs. 5MP), expandable storage upto 32GB and a larger screen (5” vs. 4.5”), albeit with the same 720p resolution. If the upgraded features aren’t a big deal for you and a smaller, compact Moto G is still what you’d prefer, the 16GB Moto G first gen for Rs, 9,999 is a cracker of a deal! And yes, the Moto G first gen will be one of the very first phones to get the Android Lollipop update.
If you are serious about buying the first gen Moto G, we advice you to act swifty, we suspect it won't be on offer for long. Here's the Flipkart Moto G link
