Moto G 2nd gen spotted running Android 5.1
An alleged image of the second generation Moto G has been leaked which shows the device running on Android 5.1.
With Android Lollipop finally seeding to a bunch of smartphones, a brand new update is expected to arrive soon. Thanks to a leaked image of a second generation Moto G, we can assume that it won't be long before Google starts seeding the new update.
Just yesterday we saw an Android One device running the same update in Indonesia, and the new update was confirmed on the official Android One website as well. Google had also tweeted saying that the new Android Lollipop update will arrive on all Android One devices in the coming weeks, but no information regarding the changes was announced.
According to Phonearena's report, the new update could include a Silent mode and other general improvements in system stability like improved RAM management, fixes for sudden app crashes, improved battery management, fixes for wireless connection issues, fix for 'Okay Google' commands, notifications fixes, and sound fixes which were being faced by some devices.
We cannot confirm the above changes but it does sound nice to have some improvements as some of the early Lollipop builds have been a bit buggy. Hopefully we will soon hear about the new update from Google.
