A Mumbai-based retailer has published a video of the Moto E4's Indian variant confirming the price to be Rs 8,999. The company says it's a promotion and not affiliated to Motorola.
Lenovo Moto seems to have quietly launched the Moto E4 in India. The smartphone is said to be available via offline retail channels at Rs 8,999. The details of the launch come just days after a Mumbai-based retailer revealed that Moto E4 will become available in the new few days.
Mahesh Telecom, another Mumbai-based retailer has now posted an unboxing video of the Moto E4, claiming it to be the Indian retail version. Motorola is yet to officially confirm the launch of the Moto E4. The company said that this a promotion by Mahesh Telecom and is not affiliated to Motorola. Motorola is also teasing the India launch of the E4 Plus via its social media handles.
The Moto E4 and E4 Plus were officially unveiled in the US earlier this month. The smartphones are Motorola's offering to take on the similarly priced Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone. The Moto E4 features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by MediaTek MT6737 chipset in India. The International variant uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 425 or 427 chipset instead. It comes equipped with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage.
The Moto E4 sports an 8MP rear camera with autofocus, f/2.2 aperture and a single LED flash. The front camera uses a 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a single LED flash, and support for beautification modes. The handset is backed by a 2800mAh battery and sports a front-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Moto E4 runs Android 7.0 Nougat with near stock experience and will be available in black and gold colour options.
