Moto E successor reportedly spotted at the FCC

Motorola's new smartphone has been spotted on the FCC website. According to reports, the Motorola handset – listed under the ID IHDT56QF1 and sports model no. 45833 – is the new version of Moto E.

Details about the new Motorola handset are sketchy, but what has been revealed that it has t Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi hotspot, and operates on 850/1900MHz GSM bands. According to Phonearena, the smartphone measures  2.64 by 5.11 inches (66.96 by 129.9 millimeters) and diagonally measures 5.39 inches (136.9 millimeters).

The site points out the measurement is of the smartphone not the display. Interestingly, the phone doesn't support LTE connectivity. According to reports, the handset spotted on the FCC site is an entry-level handset.

Motorola's Moto E has been massively popular in India. The smartphone brought in superior features as compared to rivals, and at affordable pricing. Since its launch, a number of brands including Xolo and Xiaomi have launched high end phones at the affordable prices. The next generation Moto E will be facing a stiffer competition.
