MIUI 11 was unveiled last month alongside the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. The company revealed the roadmap of Redmi devices that will be getting MIUI 11 this year as well. One device that was not present on that list is Redmi 4, which has started receiving MIUI 11 stable update now. It is yet to reach all the Redmi 4 units.
The latest development was spotted by Gadgets360. Xiaomi is following the announced roadmap and it has already rolled out the MIUI 11 for Redmi 8, Redmi 8A and Redmi Note 8. The devices are part of the November 13-29 rollout. You can check when your Xiaomi device will get the MIUI 11 update here.
MIUI 11 brings several new features including the new icons, ultra power saving mode, system-wide dark mode, and more. It has Quick Replies, New Dynamic Sound Effects, New Minimalistic Design, Mi Share, Floating Calculator, Updated Mi File Manager, Steps Trackers and more. Mi Share is part of the collaboration of Xiaomi, OPPO and Vivo, which enables users for a cross-brand file transfer technology. The app lets users transfer files quickly (up to 82Mbps), and can be found as Mi Share on MIUI 11.
MIUI 11 also comes with a new file manager that shows each file as a thumbnail, similar to what you see on laptops and PCs, which makes it easier for users to find a document. The calculator app sees a floating interface to help users easily perform long calculations. Moreover, MIUI 11 includes Quick Replies feature, which lets users quickly reply to a message or call without leaving their active tasks on the screen.
