Microsoft has unveiled the entry level Lumia 535 Windows Phone without any Nokia branding. The smartphone is expected to be priced around Rs. 8,500
Microsoft has just announced a brand new smartphone called the Lumia 535 which is an entry-level Windows Phone. This goes on to become the first handset from the Lumia range to arrive after the rebranding of Nokia. The smartphone will be running on Windows Phone 8.1 with Denim update out of the box.
The lumia 535 packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset with its quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz. It is accompanied by 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage with a microSD card support. The phone has a 5-inch qHD screen with Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection and there is also a 5MP rear camera with an LED flash.
The phone will come with dual-SIM capabilities and will be priced around 110EUR (Rs. 8500). It will available from November only with sales starting from China, Hong Kong and Bangladesh followed by other countries.
In related news Microsoft is further pushing the rebranding of Nokia, and as part of this process, Nokia Conversations which is the official blog website has been renamed and rebranded to Lumia Conversations. Microsoft will be pushing the rebranding further and will be closing down @nokconv twitter handle as well.
