Microsoft has dealt a bashing blow to all the rumours about Windows Phone 7.8 by dishing out the hammer of reality. Turns out, Windows Phone 7.8 update is not being released in the coming week or weeks, but is slated of an “early 2013” release.
It is natural to think that the Windows Phone 7.8 update would be round the corner, given that Microsoft has been on a releasing spree and the fact that it’s probably takes lesser time to put together an update than an entire OS. However, while these facts may hold true, we’re okay that Microsoft is taking some time to test out the update before they release it.
In case you didn’t know, Microsoft ran out of time on the Windows Phone 8 development, and now we’re hearing stories of random reboots. Wouldn’t want the same kind of issues cropping up on Windows Phone 7.8 now, would we?
