Microsoft has sent out an email for an event being held on November 30 where it will most likely launch their newest flagship phones, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL. The image that they sent with the email shows a screenshot of a Windows 10 device. At the top left corner of the device is the Microsoft Lumia logo while the time is set at 9:50.
During Microsoft’s Future Unleashed conference held in Mumbai, Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella had announced that the Lumia 950 and 950XL will reach Indian shores by December. He also mentioned that the Surface Pro 4 tablet could come to India in January 2016. Both flagship phones run on Window 10 Mobile and offer 20MP rear cameras with Carl Zeiss optics with fifth generation Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The two phones also comes with 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of storage which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. The Lumia 950XL comes with a 5.7-inch QHD display and is powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC. It also has a 3340mAh battery. The Lumia 950 has a slightly smaller 5.2-inch QHD screen and a 3000mAh battery. The 950 is powered by a Snapdragon 808 SoC. These two phones also come with Continuum which allows the devices to be used as desktop computers when connected to a dock, which in turn is connected to a display.
The Surface Pro 4 has a 12.3-inch Pixelsense display with a resolution of 2736 x 1824 pixels. The device will be available with sixth generation Intel processors . It will be available in four storage options, 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. There is also a 1TB variant of the Surface 4, but that will not be launched in India. Microsoft’s new tablet-hybrid, the Surface Book has been left out of Microsoft’s product portfolio in India.
