Will iPhone users eventually adapt to Cortana over Siri?

Microsoft will soon roll out the beta program for Cortana on iPhones. The company has already introduced the beta program for Android devices, and the iPhone beta is currently being rolled out on a heavily restricted scale. Right now, only a select 1,000 users from USA and UK will get access to the beta.

Users privy to the beta will get access to new features and integrations that Microsoft states will be steadily rolled out over time. Cortana, the AI assistant for personal gadgets, has often been billed as one of the most efficient personal assistants on phone, and has even been ranked higher than Siri in a number of cases. Apple's Siri itself has been improved since its introduction with iOS 5. Despite Cortana's efficiency, the AI assistant was exposed to limited audiences on mobile, because of the lack of proficiency of Windows Phones.

Google has also attempted to capitalise on the growing use of personal assistants, introducing Google Now for iOS. The search giant has also upped the game by upgrading its assistant, suitably called Google Assistant, which now features better efficiency, deeper integration and superior voice recognition over its predecessor.

While the beta program is expected to spread wider over time, it remains to be seen how iPhone users react and adapt to Cortana, or whether they opt for Microsoft's assistant over Apple's own Siri. For more information on the Cortana beta program for iPhones, click here
