Vodafone Italy has compiled a list of updates for the carrier phones and shows that the an OTA update may be available for select Lumia phones from next week
Microsoft may start rolling out the Windows 10 for Mobile update for select Lumia phones from next week. According to a report by Italian website Plaffo, a representative of Vodafone Italy has compiled a list of upcoming updates for the carrier phones. According to the list, the Lumia 535, Lumia 635, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, Lumia 930, and Lumia 1520 should get the OTA update between March 7 and March 13. If this is true, then the global rollout of the update should begin very soon.
The Windows 10 for Mobile update was supposed to start rolling out for Lumia phones last year. However, The company stated that the update will begin rolling out to select phones from 2016 instead. The company did not give any reason behind the delay. Currently, only three phones in India come with Windows 10 out of the box. The Lumia 950 and 950 XL were launched in November last year, while the Lumia 550 was launched a month later. The Lumia 650 is not yet available in India.
