Microsoft has sent out press invites for a November 26 event where it is expected to launch the Lumia 535, its first smartphone sans the Nokia branding. The press invite sent by the company reads, "Five days to magic of triple 5."
Microsoft had had unveiled the budget smartphone last week, saying, "the new Microsoft Lumia 535, our "5x5x5" smartphone package bringing a 5-inch screen, 5-megapixel front- and rear-facing camera, and free integrated Microsoft experiences (such as Skype and OneNote) to more people at an affordable price."
The Lumia 535 smartphone runs Windows Phone 8.1 OS. It has a 5-inch IPS LCD display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution. The Lumia 535 has a quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 1 GB of RAM. It has 8 GB of built-in storage expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card slot. The Lumia 535 runs on Windows 8.1 OS. It is backed by a 1905 mAh battery that according to the company deliver 11 hours of calls on a 2G network or 23 days on standby.
The Lumia 535 smartphone will be available in single SIM as well as a dual-SIM variant, called the Lumia 535 Dual SIM. Both the devices will come with 15GB of free OneDrive cloud storage. The Lumia 535 and Lumia 535 are expected to be priced under Rs 10,000 in India.
This Microsoft Lumia 535 will be the first smartphone to feature the only Microsoft brand name and doesn’t mention Nokia, who were originally listed as the makers under the Lumia brand name.
