Microsoft Lumia 430 launched in India at Rs. 5,299
Microsoft expands its presence in the under Rs. 7,000 smartphone segment with the new Lumia 430. The new phone will join the likes of Lumia 532 and 435 budget smartphones.
Microsoft has launched its Lumia 430 smartphone in India. Touted as the cheapest Windows Phone smartphone, Lumia 430 is priced at Rs 5,299. Microsoft Lumia 430, unveiled in March this year, comes with a 4-inch display with WVGA display. It runs Windows Phone 8.1 OS with Lumia Denim and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The smartphone has 8 GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card slot.
The Lumia 430 sports a 2 MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. Connectivity options included in the Lumia 430 are WiFi, Bluetooth, USB and GPS support.. It is powered by a 1500mAh replaceable battery. The smartphone comes preloaded with several apps such as Skype for IMs, Microsoft Office, voice chats, and video calls. Microsoft is clearly focussing on the budget smartphone segment with a few Lumia phones under Rs. 7,000. It recently launched the Lumia 532 and 435 smartphones in India for Rs. 6,499 and 5,999.
Interestingly, Under Rs. 7,000 has emerged as a hot segment where we've seen a slew of Android smartphones from domestic players such as Micromax and Lava as well as international brands such as Motorola and Xiaomi.
