Microsoft is all set to bring the Windows Phone Keyboard to iOS and before you open the App Store to download it, we’d like to tell you that it isn’t available for download yet. The keyboard is currently being tested internally and will be made available for the public soon. The USP of the iOS version of the keyboard includes a “special” one-handed mode. The iOS version of the one-handed more is different from the one available on Windows Phone. The one-handed mode works on either side of the screen so you can use it on the left or the right, as per your convenience. How it works is that the keyboard simply shifts to the right or the left, creating a compact keyboard laid out like a fan.
Other features of the keyboard include word suggestions, emoji, swipe letters and more. The keyboard is expected to launch soon for iOS and an Android variant is expected later this year.
There are a number of keyboards available for Android, but it was only with iOS 8 that Apple introduced the ability to install third party keyboards on your iOS device.
