Micromax has launched a new selfie-centric device called the Selfie 2. The device is priced at Rs 9,999 and will be available from tomorrow. The smartphone comes with a metal body and sports a 5.2-inch HD display. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor with 3GB of RAM. The device runs Android Nougat and and offers 32GB of onboard storage that can be expanded by up to 64GB. The phone is equipped with a 3000mAh battery and the company claims that it is enough for a stand-by time of 250 hours. It also comes with a support for 4G VoLTE.
The phone comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 8MP front camera, with a soft selfie flash. The device sports a real time Bokeh option that captures the depth and distance information of the subject, allowing users to blur the background. The Auto Scene Detection analyses the type of scene and shooting conditions and automatically gives the user the appropriate options. Other features of the phone include an integrated TrueCaller dialer and a 100-day replacement warranty.
The launch of the Micromax Selfie 2 comes just a few days after the company launched the Canvas 1 smartphone. Priced at Rs 6,999, the device sports a 5-inch HD display with 2.5D glass. The phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 processor with 2GB of RAM. The device supports VoLTE and comes with the company’s 100-day warranty.
