Micromax’s latest addition to its budget smartphone arsenal is the Smarty 4.3 A65. It is priced at Rs. 4,999. As the name suggests, the device has a 4.3-inch WVGA display with a 480×800 pixel resolution. It has a candybar form factor and boasts of dual-SIM (GSM GSM) capabilities. The downside is that it runs Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread in a day when we have seen quite a few budget smartphones running ICS as well as Jelly Bean.
Under the hood, the Smarty 4.3 A65 is powered by a 1GHz ARM cortex A5 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of ROM, and 190MB user available built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.
The device has a 2MP rear-facing camera that shoots video in 352 x 288 pixel resolution as well as a 0.3MP front-facing camera. The device is 10.95 mm thin and weighs 148 grams. The Smarty 4.3 A65 comes with a 1350mAh battery.

Recently, we saw Micromax launch the A30 Smarty 3.0. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and boasts of dual-SIM capabilities. Other specifications include an 832MHz CPU with 256MB of RAM, 512MB of ROM, and expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD.
The A30 Smarty 3.0’s 3-inch touchscreen display has a resolution of 320×240 pixels. The rear of the device has a 2MP camera and it compromises on a front facing camera.
