Micromax has added another budget dual-SIM Android 4.0 ICS-based device, the A68 Smarty for Rs. 6,500 to its budget smartphone portfolio in India.
The A68 smarty has a 4-inch IPS panel display with a 480×800 resolution, 1GHz processor, 512 MB RAM and runs on Android 4.0.4 operating system. It boasts of dual-SIM capabilities and has a 5MP rear snapper. It also sports a 1600 mAh battery. The A68 has 4GB of built-in storage of which 2GB is available for users, while offering microSD card expandability up to 32GB.
Micromax’s A68 Smarty is listed as available on online shopping websites. The dual-SIM Android A68 only supports GPRS and EDGE and no 3G. Considering that it is a budget device, and most people who pick a smartphone in this price point will probably not use 3G, the service isn’t missed. Apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp and more will run fine on the given networks and specifications.
