Micromax In-series could launch sometime in November
Micromax In-series of smartphones are set to launch in India soon, the company officially announced last week. However, the company didn’t reveal anything about the phones at the time apart from giving us a look at the retail box for the In-series phones. As was expected, the rumour mill has started churning out details and leaks regarding the upcoming phones by Micromax in the In-lineup.
According to a tweet by tipster Mukul Sharma, a phone going by the name Micromax In 1a was spotted on Geekbench and the listing revealed that the phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 processor. As per the listing, the 1a is powered by the P35 chipset with an octa-core CPU running at 2.30GHz and is paired with 4GB of RAM, running on Android 10 out-of-the-box.

Having said that, an exclusive report by The Mobile Indian quashed the previous leak citing “sources familiar with the development” and instead revealed that Micromax is preparing to launch two phones, one powered by the Helio G35 processor and another with G85 processor under the hood.
In an interview with the YouTube channel Technical Guruji, Rahul Sharma, co-founder of Micromax announced that the launch of the first few phones can be expected to be held sometime in “early November”. Let’s take a look at the leaked specifications of the upcoming Micromax phones.

Micromax In-series leaked specifications and expected pricing
According to the report by The Mobile Indian, Micromax is set to launch two phones initially under the In-series dubbed as In 1 and In 1a. The Micromax In 1 and 1a are expected to feature a 6.5-inch HD+ display and will run on stock Android out-of-the-box. The phones could come with a 5,000mAh battery as well.
The In 1a is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. This variant reportedly has a dual-camera setup on the back that consists of a primary 13MP + 2MP cameras and an 8MP selfie camera upfront.
The 3GB + 32 GB variant is expected to feature a triple camera setup that could use 13MP + 5MP + 2MP camera array along with a 13MP front-facing camera. This variant of the phone is likely to be powered by the Helio G85 processor but there’s no official word just yet.
Micromax has also revealed that it plans to target the Rs 7,000-Rs 15,000 price smartphone segment in India. Recently, Micromax was amongst the 16 smartphone companies to receive government-approved incentives under the PLI (Production-linked incentive) scheme to increase smartphone production in the country by investing in domestic manufacturing.
