As said above, the AQ4502 is a new version of Micromax's Android One phone. Micromax had launched the phone in partnership with Google. However, the Android One phones didn't take off in India, though it triggered a competition in the sub-7k smartphone segment. The likes of Xiaomi, Motorola and Asus are already targeting the segment. Micromax, already a strong brand in the budget smartphone segment, has launched a few phones such as the Unite 2 and Canvas Spark under Rs. 7,000.
