Meizu m5 note to launched on December 6 with Helio P10 octa-core processor
The device is tipped to come in three variants – a 2GB RAM 16GB internal storage variant, a 3GB RAM 32 GB storage variant and a 4GB RAM varaint with 64 GB internal storage
Chinese cellphone manufacturer Meizu will be releasing its newest smartphone the Meizu m5 note in China on December 6. The company has already started to send out press invites for the impending launch. Earlier reports had suggested that the device would be launched on November 30.
The m5 note was recently spotted on Antutu where it was listed with a Mali-T860GPU, MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor and a full HD display. According to the Chinese website GizmoChina the device will be available in three variants based on RAM and internal storage capacity – 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage, 3GB RAM/ 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage. All variants will feature the option for expanding the internal storage via a microSD card slot. The website added that the variants will also differ in terms of battery size with only the 64GB variant sporting a 4000mAh battery while the others will come with a 3920mAh battery. Tipped to run on Android 6.0.1 the device will sport a metal unibody with round edges and will be available in two colours – Black and White.
In the invite for the launch Meizu noted that it had already sold over 20 million units of the m3 note. According to GizmoChina the company will soon halt the production of the M5 note’s predecessor. Launched in India in May 2016 at Rs. 9,999 the m3 note features a 5.5-inch Full HD display. The m3 note runs on Android Lollipop v5.1 coupled with a 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 SoC with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The camera setup included a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and PDAF, while at the front camera was a 5MP shooter. All this is backed by a 4100 mAh battery.
