The smartphone will also come with Android 6.0, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory

Several images of Meizu’s new smartphone the M5 along with a Geekbench listing have now surfaced online. This comes in the backdrop of reports that Meizu is gearing up to launch the new smartphone on October 31. Two of the images show a black coloured variant and a green coloured variant of the new smartphone, both of which which look quite similar to Meizu’s M3S. The images which surfaced in Chinese social networking website Weibo reveal that the phone uses a YunOS platform and has a 5-inch 720p display along with a 13MP rear camera, 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

According to Gizmochina, a Geekbench listing purportedly of the M5 has also been spotted. It reported that the new smartphone will run on the Android 6.0, and will feature an ARM MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1GHz along with 2GB RAM. The website added that keeping the Meizu M5 specs in mind it can be expected that the phone will be priced cheap. Also, given that Meizu is releasing the device in time for the much anticipated 11/11 Single's day sales, the company should price it aggressively, the website reasoned. Gizmochina added that as the M3S was announced for just $106, M5 model should also be priced around the same figure. The website speculated that 3GB RAM variant might also be in the works.

In April 2016, a portfolio of Meizu’s upcoming launches was leaked on the Chinese website My Drivers. However while the portfolio included devices such as the Meizu m3, Meizu MX6, Meizu Pro 6 and their variants, there was no mention of the M5.
