Meizu m2 note with global LTE support announced

Chinese handset maker Meizu has announced the m2 note with support 4G LTE connectivity across the world. The smartphone is available for order in China through the company's official Meizu website and JD.com.

The Meizu m2 note has a 5.5-inch IGZO display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz 64-bit Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor with eight Cortex-A53 64-bit CPUs and Mali-T720 GPU. The smartphone runs on Flyme OS based on Android 5.0. It has 2 GB DDR3 RAM and 16/32 GB inbuilt memory expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card slot. It has 13 MP primary camera and 5 MP front camera with 69-degree wide viewing angle. The Meizu m2 note comes with Hybird Dual SIM in which the first SIM can also be used as a microSD expansion slot if required. The smartphone comes with a 'mBack touch-sensitive home button' that offers different functions depending on how hard you press it. With a soft press, the button acts as back button and if you press hard it acts as a home button. Connectivity options included in the meizu m2 note are 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS support. It is backed by a 3100 mAh battery. The Meizu m2 note is available in Grey, Blue, Pink and White colors. It is priced at Rs. 8220 approx (799 yuan) for the 16GB version and Rs 10,284 approx (999 yuan) for the 32 GB version.

The Chinese handset maker had entered the Indian market last month with the m1 note. The smartphone looks similar to the Apple's iPhone 5C and has a 5.5-inch 1080p display. It has a 64-bit Mediatek octa-core processor with 2 GB of RAM. It is available in non expandable 16 GB and 32 GB storage variants. Other features included are a 13 MP primary camera, 5 MP secondary camera and Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS with a custom Flyme 4.0 UI on top. Connectivity options included are dual SIM (4G+ 2G), WiFi, Bluetooth and USB. The m1 note packs a 3,140mAh battery. The smartphone competes with budget offerings from Xiaomi, Lenovo, Asus as well as domestic vendors like Micromax, Lava, etc.
