Meizu has announced the #m2for1 contest for its fans in India which gives them the chance to buy a Meizu M2 for just Re. 1. Meizu has challenged people to visualise where they would like to see the ‘Meizu’ logo and then implement the idea by typing, painting, or inking the logo in an ‘unusual place’. Once they are done, users will have to take a picture of it and post it on Meizu India’s Facebook page with the tag ‘#m2for1’. The contest will be live from December 15 to December 21, 2015.

Meizu launched the M2 in India in October this year for Rs. 6,999. The phone comes with a 5-inch HD screen with Dragontrail glass. The device is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC with 2GB of RAM. It is equipped with 16GB of onboard storage which can be expanded by up to 128GB. At the back of the phone is a 13MP camera, while at the front is a 5MP camera. The phone is 4G enabled and has a 2500mAh battery, which the company claims can offer call time of up to 23 hours. The Meizu M2 runs Flyme OS 4.5 layered over Android Lollipop v5.1.

Meizu launched its latest flagship device, the PRO 5 in September this year. The device has a 5.7-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and is powered by an Exynos 7420 SoC. The phone comes with a 3050mAh battery with mCharge 2.0. The company claims that this technology will charge the phone up to 65% with just 30 minutes of charging. The Meizu PRO 5 is available in two variants, the first comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, while the other comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Meizu has stated that the phone will be launched in India next year.
