MeeGo 1.0 OS unveiled at Beijing, and it looks good! [video]
Intel and Nokia’s much awaited open-source MeeGo 1.0 OS was unveiled yesterday by Intel in Beijing, on four different sorts of devices – a smartphone, a netbook, a TV, and a digital coupon machine.
From what can be seen of it on the YouTube videos, the MeeGo OS looks quite capable, with a simple, smooth and responsive UI. Check out the videos below:
Here it is running on an Acer Aspire One notebook, showcasing tabbed interface and 3D acceleration:
This below video shows MeeGo devices synchronizing easily and sharing media, all part of its cloud functionality. Another feature showed off was a MeeGo device communicating with a digital coupon machine:
