Magicon has announced the launch of a new smartphone/phablet – UltraSmart Q50 Magnus. Priced at Rs. 7,999, the smartphone runs dated Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor.
The smartphone supports dual-SIM and boasts of 5-inch multi-touch display. It sports a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. It has 512MB of RAM. The smartphone comes with a microSD card slot, which supports storage up to 32GB.
There’s a 1650mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, the UltraSmart Q50 Magnus supports EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The phone is available in white and black colours.
The Q50 Magnus comes loaded with powerful apps like ‘myplex now’ and NewsHunt. myplex now is a mobile TV application allowing users to watch over 100 free and paid Indian channels, over 1000 videos and movies from a wide catalogue of Indian movies.
Considering the specifications and price bracket, the Magicon UltraSmart Q50 Magnus takes on the likes of the Karbonn A25, Micromax A101 and Micromax Canvas Viva A72.
The Karbonn A25 is also a dual-SIM phablet, featuring 5-inch display, 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM. The 2G phablet, however, sports 5MP camera and 2,000mAh battery. The Karbonn A25 is available online for around Rs. 6,590.
