LG’s mysterious new phone on Geekbench could be the Nexus 5 2015
A mysterious device is in the Geekbench Database, and it is not known whether it is the Nexus 5 2015 or the G4 Pro
The Geekbench Database has just logged the details of an unknown LG device, with a model number of LGE LG-F600L. Looking at the timing, it could be either the 2015 refresh of the Nexus 5 or LG’s flagship for the second-half of 2015.
Coming to the specs, the phone has a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset along with 4GB of RAM, and while the chipset is less powerful than the octa-core Snapdragon 810, it is a lot more stable thermally. This means that in real-world usage, the Snapdragon 808 performs better than the 810 due to overheating and thermal throttling on the latter.
The device scored 1,082 in Single-Core benchmarks and 3,298 in Multi-Core ones. One thing to be pointed out is that both of these devices were rumored to pack Snapdragon 820 chipsets, which is supposed to be more powerful than the 810 while remaining thermally stable.
