LG Optimus L5 II launches in Brazil, global rollout to begin soon

LG has launched the Optimus L5 II Android smartphone in Brazil and has revealed that the phone will soon also be launched in Asia, South and Central America, Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa. The Optimus L5 II was shown off by LG at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona along with other phones with dual-SIM variants such as the Optimus L3 II and the Optimus L7II.

The Optimus L5 II is an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean smartphone with a 4-inch IPS display that has a resolution of 480×800 pixels. The phone is powered by a 1GHz Mediatek MT6575 processor and a PowerVR SGX531 GPU and comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage while also supporting microSD cards up to 32GB. Imaging is taken care of by a 5MP camera with LED flash and in terms of connectivity, the Optimus L5 II supports Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth. The phone also has a 1700mAh battery.

Android Authority expects the phone to be priced around $250 (Rs. 13,500 approx.) which means that it will probably be launched in India for anything from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 18,000. LG still hasn’t released official pricing for the Optimus L5 II or the date its launching in India.
