LG Optimus 4X HD gets price cut; now available for Rs. 27,990

The LG Optimus 4X HD has got a price cut in India and is now available for Rs. 27,990. LG hasn’t yet officially announced the price cut but various online retailers such as Flipkart and Buytheprice are selling the device at the new rates.

LG had unveiled the Optimus 4X HD in February this year, and launched it in India in July with MRP of Rs. 34,990. The Optimus 4X HD features a 4.7-inch IPS display with a HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels.

The Optimus 4X HD runs on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. It has an 8MP autofocus camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. Other specifications include 16GB built-in storage (12GB user available), microSD card slot for additional storage up to 32GB, 1GB RAM and a 2,150 mAh battery.

The price cut for the Optimus 4X HD comes shortly after HTC slashed prices of its One S and Desire V smartphones. As the festival season begins in the country, we are likely to see similar price cuts, and new offers from other manufacturers in the near future.
