LG launches the Optimus L9 in India for Rs. 23,000

LG Electronics has launched its Optimus L9 smartphone in India for Rs. 23,000. The device runs on Android 4.0.4 ICS operating system and is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor.

The LG Optimus L9 P765 was announced back in August. The LG Optimus L9 features a 4.7-inch IPS display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution. It sports a 5MP camera with LED flash and VGA front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 4GB built-in storage and a 2,150 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 11.6 hours talktime in 3G.

For connectivity, the Optimus L9 supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth and A-GPS. The device measures 131.9 x 68.2 x 9.1mm and weighs around 125 grams.

The smartphone also features LG’s QuickMemo, a note-taking app that lets users add commentary, notes and drawings to screenshots with a few swipes of a finger, then share them with friends via social media and email. By using its CheeseShutter feature, LG Optimus L9 lets users snap photos letting users click photos by simply saying “cheese”. The keypad on the smartphone can be adjusted for use with one hand or two hand typing.
