LG K7i with 5-inch display and mosquito away technology launched at Rs 7,990
LG K7i is a mid-range smartphone and uses the sound wave to keep mosquitoes at bay. The smartphone features a 5-inch display and is priced at Rs 7,990.
At India Mobile Congress 2017, LG has announced the launch of K7i that also acts as a mosquito repellant. LG K7i comes with new 'mosquito away technology' that only uses the sound wave to keep mosquitoes at bay. LG says mosquito away is a silent, invisible, odourless and a perfectly user-friendly technology.
LG also assures that its new K7i smartphone does not emit any harmful radiation and its selected ultrasonic frequency is safe for humans. In terms of features, LG K7i sports a 5-inch On-Cell display and is powered by a quad-core processor. The smartphone offers 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.
"As a responsible brand, we would like to introduce products based on Indian consumer insights; the launch of K7i is an extension of this philosophy. Earlier we have launched mosquito away AC and TV, the response for this technology has been positive," said Kim Ki Wan, Managing Director, LG Electronics India.
LG was anticipated to launch 2017 K3 and K4 series but the company has focused to demonstrate new technology. LG K7i is a dual-SIM device and it sports an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. LG has also added new gesture interval shot and front flash for an enhanced selfie experience. The handset measures 144.7 x 72.6 x 8.1mm in dimensions and weighs around 138 grams. The smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is backed by a 2500mAh battery.
On the connectivity, LG K7i offers WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, FM Radio and micro USB port. It supports LTE and will only be available in brown colour variant. The budget smartphone with mosquito away technology will be available across retail stores at Rs 7,990.
