LG introduces Optimus lineup of smartphones with the launch of LG GT540 in India
LG Mobile has officially launched its 3G-ready LG GT540 Optimus phone in India, for Rs. 12,990. The phone, based on Android 1.6, can be upgraded to Android 2.1, and is apparently the first in a new series from LG, called LG Optimus, which will be the bearer of the company’s future smartphones. This includes the Windows Phone 7 device, LG C900, which we’ve covered earlier. According to LG, the company will launch 10 smartphones under the LG Optimus series by the end of 2010.
