The launch of the LG G6 is just a few days away, but the leaks are still coming in. 9to5Google has got its hands on a set of leaked images, one with which shows the always-on display in action. The other image shows the back of the phone and matches up to what has been seen in previous leaks. This includes the brushed metal finish, fingerprint sensor, and dual-rear cameras.
LG has already confirmed that the new phone will come with a 5.7-inch FullVision display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels and an 18:9 screen aspect ratio. The company also teased the new UI, which the company calls UX 6.0. It notes that the new UI will utilise the 18:9 ratio and will offer a “differentiated experience for viewing content such as video clips and web surfing.” This includes a Square Camera feature which would divide the screen in two. This allows users to take pictures in a 1:1 format and review them in the second window.
Previous reports have suggested that the LG G6 may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 along with a Quad DAC, similar to what was found on the LG V20. The phone is also expected to be waterproof. Further, the LG G6 may also be the first non-pixel device to come with Google Assistant.
